Rockwool KLIMAMAT is a specialized lamella mat designed for effective insulation of ventilation ducts, piping, and air conditioning systems. Due to a unique manufacturing technology where the stone wool fibers are oriented perpendicularly to the facing surface, the mat remains rigid, does not deform at the corners, and maintains a uniform thickness throughout the entire insulated area.
Key Features and Applications:
- Condensation Protection: The reinforced aluminium foil acts as a vapor barrier, preventing moisture (sweating) from forming on the duct surfaces, which could otherwise lead to corrosion or mold.
- Thermal Insulation: Effectively retains heat within the ducts or protects cooled air from external heat gain.
- Flexibility and Durability: Thanks to the vertically oriented fibers, the mat is exceptionally flexible, making it easy to wrap around both rectangular and circular ducts without losing insulation properties at the bends.
- Fire Resistance: Stone wool is non-combustible, thereby increasing the overall fire safety of the building (Class A2-s1, d0).
