Filters are classified according to filtration efficiency, with specific categories based on the captured particle size. The classification is carried out according to the ePM (Efficiency Particulate Matter) rating system. ePM1 60 % filters capture the most dangerous PM 1 group (1 micrometre size) particulate matter – bacteria, soot, smog particles, and dust mite allergens, that can enter the bloodstream through the respiratory tract. KOMFOVENT puts a lot of emphasis on air filtration in their air handling units. It is necessary to change the recuperator filters when the indicators of the device report contamination of the air filter. It is recommended to change at least 2 times a year: before and after the heating season, or more often, depending on the pollution of the environment where You live and the intensity of use of the ventilation unit.
The recuperator filter is a one-time product, it is not recommended to reuse it after vacuuming, shaking or otherwise cleaning it.
Before changing the filters, it is recommended to turn off the ventilation unit, thus protecting it from the inclusion of dust and other unwanted objects.
When changing the filters, it is recommended to clean the filter mounting section as well.
